The Westberry Hotel and Restaurant

Located in the very heart of the ancient county town of Bodmin, the Westberry Hotel features 20 en-suite bedrooms with free superfast broadband, television, radio, telephone, and tea/coffee making facilities.  The hotel has two large function suites, ideal for both business and leisure use, and a private bar and dance floor are available.  In addition, the hotel features an elegant terrace restaurant, Hội~An, open to residents and non-residents alike and offering a panoramic view over the hotel gardens, much of central Bodmin, and tempting glimpses of the countryside beyond.  The restaurant, which opens each evening as well as for breakfast, offers both authentic Oriental and contemporary Western cuisine. All produce is locally sourced where possible, and the kitchen team pride themselves on the freshness of their ingredients. The extensive evening menu features dishes from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and China, a selection of contemporary Western favourites and a superb range of vegetarian and vegan options; gluten-free versions of many dishes are available on request, and in addition a special children's menu is available.

Bodmin Jail is located just ½ mile away and the Camel cycle trail just over one mile, whilst the Eden Project is about 10 miles from the Westberry, Port Isaac about 15 and the Lost Gardens of Heligan about 18. Both north and south Cornish coasts are easily accessible (less than an hour to either by car), and Lands End is just over 1½ hours drive or six hours cycle ride.  Within Bodmin itself, the Jail, the town museum and the Regimental museum are well worth a visit; the last is virtually within touching distance of the central point of the Bodmin & Wenford Steam Railway, Bodmin General station, whilst just outside Bodmin proper is the magnificent Lanhydrock House (NT).
